but I really hate how edgy 4chanerdz latched onto mlp as soon as they figured out there was no way it would gain a fanbase on the internet otherwise and it would be somewhere they were LOVED and TOLERATED!!!
seriously I imagine most bronies as chris-chan level sperglords because of how they act on the internet and ESPECIALLY in public like oh my god have you even fucking SEEN the shirts.
you're not important because you like a show ok??? god it's like they think that watching it makes them a political issue on par with homosexuality without actually having to be something that one would consider degrading it's like wearing a shirt that says "It can be inferred that I'm gay even though I'm not and that's exactly the effect I want" or some shit
and this makes me a hipster but I found out about mlp without the internet and liked it because quite frankly I never grew out of the childhood stage of watching gay kids shows, the only difference is that I have quality standards now and mlp met those standards so naturally it's the kind of show that's in that little intersection in between "what my mom will let me watch" and "what I like"
aka "i'm gay"
